With director Eugene Jarecki (& bff Maggie Clifford) at the premier of "The King" at Sundance 2018. Maggie & I are featured performers in the new music documentary due out summer 2018. Featuring cameos from the likes of Alec Baldwin, Chuck D, Emmylou Harris, Ethan Hawke, and, Mike Myers, the doc explores forty years after the death of Elvis Presley, where Jarecki takes the King’s 1963 Rolls-Royce on a musical road trip across the country Presley left behind. From the deep south to New York, Las Vegas, and beyond, a tapestry of luminaries and unknown Americans (hi!) join the journey, expressing themselves in words and song. Keep an eye out for it in theaters this summer ; )

Last spring my friend Anna had a vision inspired by seeing the women's marches take place all over the world. The power of people coming together in support of positive change in the world led her to dream of a project she invited me to be a part of. It involved writing a song, an anthem, with my friend Chris Dorman for Anna's employer - Let's Grow Kids. The goal of the anthem would be to help mobilize the people of Vermont to support legislation that would provide more support for children in Vermont.

Let's Grow Kids is a statewide campaign about the need for more high-quality, affordable child care in Vermont to better support our children, families, women, communities and economy.More than 70% of Vermont children under age 6 have all of their parents in the labor force, meaning they're likely to need care. Yet, half of those infants and toddlers don't have access to any regulated care, and nearly 80% don't have access to high-quality programs.

Ryan Montbleau wrote this gorgeous song about community for VT PBS and asked me to record it as a duet with him. PBS made this lovely video featuring Vermonters and people who have helped them go "further together". Keep an eye out for Ryan & I in there!

Jam Cruise just announced their lineup for its 16th year, and we’re beyond excited to hop aboard the Norwegian Jade in Miami, Florida, for Jam Cruise 16, which runs from January 17th through 22nd with stops at Roatan, Honduras and Grand Cayman. As always, the lineup for the near week-long event is stacked, with Medeski Scofield Martin & Wood topping the bill.

Jam Cruise is always diverse in the music it brings to the table, and 2018 will be no different. Galactic, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, Maceo Parker, Lettuce, The New Mastersounds, Dumpstaphunk, Turkuaz, Naughty Professor featuring Chali 2na, and The Main Squeeze will all be in attendance to provide their funk stylings throughout the cruise. Jam acts Lotus, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, and Aqueous are all set to perform, as well as Steve Kimock, Jackie Greene, Jeff Chimenti, George Porter Jr., and John Kimock, who will be on the boat for a performance by the beloved Voodoo Dead....
